About Me!
I graduated from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida in 2003 with my bachelors in elementary education. I began teaching in 2004 in North Carolina where I met my husband who was active duty Air Force at the time. After one year of teaching, my husband and I decided to move back to Florida where we were married in 2006. I taught in the Duval County School system for three years before deciding to be a stay-at-home mom to my three beautiful children; Lily (5), Cecil (3) and Emma (2). While raising my three children I earned a Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology from Ashford University. After briefly living in Tennessee from May 2011 until January 2012, I returned to Duval County and resumed a full-time teaching position at an inner city school in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. My classroom is a technology enriched environment where my students have the abilities to blog, create wikis, and utilize the SMART Board on a daily basis. I have become very passionate about technology use in the classroom and have really begun to understand the importance and significant impact it can have on a child's education.
